American Red Cross Opens Blood Donor Site

596 Westport Avenue, Norwalk

The American Red Cross Blood Services – Northeast Division has announced that its Fairfield County Donor Center, located at 596 Westport Avenue in Norwalk, is now open for blood donors. The new state-of-the-art facility for blood collections is conveniently located to route 95 and the Merritt Parkway, and features a play area for children.

Norwalk hours are:
Tuesdays:
12 Noon to 5:45 PM
Thursdays:
1:30 PM – 7:15 PM
Saturdays:
9:30 AM – 1:15 PM

Norwalk hours  change as of October 17 to:
 Tuesdays:
12 Noon to 5:45 PM
Thursdays:
12 Noon – 5:45 PM
Saturdays:
9:30 AM – 1:15 PM
Red Cross Blood Center in Farmington hours:
 Wednesdays: 12:45 PM - 5:45 PM
Saturdays: 6:30 AM - 11:00 AM
 Located at 209 Farmington Avenue, Farmington

Schedule an appointment to donate blood:

There are several ways to schedule an appointment to donate blood.

Selected drives (including the Red Cross Blood Center in Farmington) can be scheduled on-line at this site: https://www.givelife.org

Click here for a list of all open-to-the-public scheduled blood drives and MCS (Mobile Collection System) available drives.  SCU (Self-Contained Unit) Drive / "Save A Life" Bus used.   Note:  Drives are subject to last minute changes.  We attempt to contact all scheduled donors when the change will affect their scheduled donation time.

To schedule an appointment at any open-to-the-public scheduled blood drive, call 1-800-GIVE-LIFE (1-800-448-3543) or e-mail us at .  IMPORTANT: If you are e-mailing to request an appointment please include your name and phone number (home and/or work).  Also the appointment date, location and preferred donation time(s).  We will contact you to confirm your appointment.
